This policy describes the standards every WikiPatio article is written to meet.
Independence
Affiliate commissions do not influence which products we include or how we rank them. Brands cannot pay for placement, a higher ranking, or a positive review.
Accuracy
- We use manufacturer specifications and product listings as our sources for facts.
- We do not invent specifications, ratings, prices, awards, or review counts. If a detail is missing we leave it out or say it is not specified.
- Prices change often, so we do not print fixed prices in article text.
- Weight capacities, heat output, weather ratings, and safety figures are reported only when the manufacturer supplies them.
No claims of first-hand use
We do not say we assembled, installed, or used a product unless that is true and we can show it. Our articles are based on research, specifications, and buyer feedback, and we say so.
Balanced coverage
Every article states its selection criteria, lists real drawbacks as well as strengths, and says plainly who should not buy a product.
Use of AI
WikiPatio uses AI tools in its editorial process. Here is what that means in practice.
- AI tools help draft article text and organize information taken from manufacturer specifications, product listings, and buyer feedback.
- A person reviews and edits every article before it is published and is accountable for it. We do not publish an unreviewed AI draft.
- AI tools can produce errors, including wrong specifications and model numbers. We check specifications, model numbers, and safety information against the sources above before publishing, and we leave out details we cannot verify.
- Articles are published under the WikiPatio Editorial Team byline. We do not use invented author names, credentials, or generated portraits, and the byline does not represent an individual product expert.
- AI is not used to invent reviews, quotes, ratings, awards, or first-hand experience.
Safety content
For heaters, fire pits, and other fuel-burning products we repeat manufacturer safety warnings and clearance requirements without softening them. We never state that a product is safe for enclosed or covered spaces unless the manufacturer says so.
